Lisa and Margaret, two students from Berlin, undertake a train journey during the Christmas vacation. When they change trains at Innsbruck, they end up in the same compartment as the gangsters, Teppista and Curly, and a rich woman who has sex with Teppista in the toilet. The three prove to be sadistic monsters who constantly annoy and humiliate Lisa and Margaret. The horror culminates in Lisa's horrible death and her body being thrown out of the window. Margaret dies jumping out of the moving train. At Verona station Lisa's parents await the girls' arrival. But they only meet two men accompanied by a woman who asks Lisa's father for medical aid.
