A widower for the sixth time, Bluebeard chooses Aline, the innkeeper's daughter, as his new bride. Secretly spying in Bluebeard's rooms, she, however, discovers the bodies of Bluebeard's wives locked up there. In order to keep this discovery secret Bluebeard only has one solution: Aline must pay for her curiosity with her life.
