Dr. Thomas Burgner (Gerhart Lippert) is a successful doctor in Munich. Just before a holiday together with Maxl, his son, and Rosi, his girl friend, he is visited by Franzi (Enzi Fuchs). The housekeeper asks him to drive at once to his seriously ill father-in-law in the Tirol where he remains for longer than he had anticipated.
