Leni, a young woman from Berlin (Leni Riefensthal), aided by two Hamburg carpenters (Guzzi Lantschner und Walter Riml, two Austrian skiing stars), nearly drives a skiing instructor mad with her ineptitude. Finally, however, Leni gets the hang of it and wins first prize in a visitors' race, deciding to return again to the Alps. The following year she joins in a "fox hunt" on skis in which her skiing instructor is the object of the chase. Taking up the entire second half of the film, this becomes a dangerous adventure, but all is well in the end.
