Despite chicanery, an East Tirolean countrywoman obstinately refuses to sell the land required for the development of a skiing area. But her feelings for Johann Wallner, the local engineer entrusted with the building project, make her waver. However, when both learn that the construction company is concealing the true extent of the project, they join together to save the beautiful countryside in the region.
