"Sa Som I Himmelen" tells the story of a musician whose lifelong dream comes true when after a long odyssey he learns to love other people and himself. A film about the adventure of finding one's own paradise. Daniel Dareus, the world-famous conductor, returns to the Swedish village of his childhood after a serious collapse. His wish was to retire from the world, but when he takes over the job of cantor he finds people again through his passion for music. In his work with the little village's motley choir there slowly unfurls a whole microcosm of human cares and needs. He is overjoyed to realize that with the aid of music he can find a way to the hearts of others. This signifies the fulfilment of the dream that he took with him decades ago when he left.
